We will be delivering our final 2020 Census workshop series on Friday September 11th at 6pm. We Matter, Get Counted is a series of workshops that improve community awareness regarding the value of Census engagement, reducing perception of risk, and increasing early online participation. It also includes an easy-to-follow census completion guide.

We will be distributing pantry, PPE, safer sex and hygiene kits and more at our Queens Community Free Market in Elmhurst, Queens.

Congratulations to our most recent Peer Outreach Education graduation. Our special graduation event will include a Test and Trace COVID-19 message introduction.

We will be hosting a special My Safe Haven with an introduction about COVID-19 followed by usual programming. Join us on August 31st 6-8pm.

We will be hosting a virtual sex positivity workshop to discuss important topics like safer sex, PrEP, communicating desire, toys and more!

We will be hosting a virtual Back To Work workshop with Maria Hernandez to discuss reentering the workforce and other related topics such as resume building and interview skills.

We will be distributing pantry, PPE, safer sex and hygiene kits and more at our Queens Community Free Market!

In the next coming months we will be encouraging our community members to actively participate in our Test and Trace program in which we distribute COVID-19 educational materials, PPE, and information about testing to help stop the spread!

We will be hosting a virtual Immigrant benefits workshop on Google Meet where we will be discussing topics related to accessing public benefits such as medicaid, cash assistance, public housing, SNAP and more!

We will be hosting a virtual Bingo Night! Join us on Thursday July 16th 6-8pm for a night of fun, games and prizes!

We will be hosting a virtual Self Defense class followed by our 7th Census Workshop July 9th 7-8:30pm. Join us to learn valuable skills in self defense!

Congratulations to our Leadership Space graduates! We will be holding a virtual graduation ceremony on Wednesday 7/1 6-8pm.

We will be hosting a Trans Masc led panel on zoom on June 30th at 6:30pm to discuss various issues that affect trans masculine people during the summer season.

On Monday June 22nd, we will be hosting a special virtual PrEP programming during My Safe Haven in partnership with Gilead as a part of our TGNC Health program.

Translatinx Network in partnership with Brooklyn Legal Services and NYC Pride will be offering our Biweekly Community Legal Clinic this Pride on Monday June 8th 5-7pm.

Due to the much needed aid during COVID-19, Brooklyn Community Foundation through #BrooklynGives, has partnered with #GivingTuesdayNow on Tuesday, May 5th, 2020, for a global day of giving and unity.This will be an important opportunity for individuals and community partners to participate in providing relief for those in need during this time, as Brooklyn Gives has agreed to provide a $2500 match for the first equal amount raised for this year’s early Giving Tuesday.

This biweekly workshop will be ongoing through the end of the Census 2020 deadline.

Join us for our Health and Safety virtual education workshop, facilitated by Nala Simone Toussaint on April 29th at 6pm. She’ll be discussing pointers on taking care of one’s physical, emotional and spiritual self during COVID-19.

Tune in to our NYC Transmasculine Group with Mateo Guerrero on April 28th at 6:30pm where he will be discussing stress management, maintaining mental health and COVID-19 isolation.

Ali Mateo Belen will be facilitating our My Safe Haven virtual group on April 27th at 6pm.

Arianna Lint will be facilitating our Life and Safety with HIV Queens Leadership group Tuesday, April 21st at 6pm where she will be discussing maintaining health, safety during COVID-19 and living with HIV.

Join us for our Virtual Manhattan Leadership group with Daniela Simba, who will be discussing health, stress and COVID-19 safety on April 17th at 6pm.

TN is proud to honor recent graduates of our TGNC Leadership Space X program. Join us for great food, music and company in celebration of our graduates’ achievements.

On Wednesday March 11th, 2020, in collaboration with Translatinx Network, GMHC will be holding a presentation that focuses on TGNC health and gender affirming surgery. Topics will include different surgical options, insurance navigation an surgical recovery.

We will be hosting a series of workshops made possible by FLUX on aromatherapy, face masks, journaling and meditation on Saturday, February 15th, 2020 here at Translatinx Network.

TN, in partnership with AIDS Healthcare Foundation, will be hosting a free bilingual workshop highlighting access to PrEP combined with a giveaway for community members with clothing and toiletries as well as HIV testing.

We are pleased to announce we will be holding a new series of classes in which we cover topics that are useful to those in the process of obtaining US citizenship including: US history, citizenship policy updates, law safety, and Real I.D.s.

We will be hosting the next FLUX NYC Chapter Meeting at the TN office. Flux aims to raise the profile of the trans* and gender non conforming community by leveraging social events, creating safe spaces and innovative advocacy initiatives.

Here at Translatinx Network, we offer free ESL classes for those registered for the classes held every Saturday 12PM-3:3PM. We encourage all to register for the 3 week classes.

TN will be hosting the annual Cris Awards Holiday Party! We’ll be celebrating another year of service and achievement here at Translatinx Network with music, food and friends. The celebration will be held on December 30th from 6-8pm.

TN will be honoring recent graduates of our TGNC Bridge program. Celebrate with us and learn more about the program! There will be a panel with graduates and police officers held from 5-6pm with the graduation ceremony with community members from 6-7pm.

In collaboration with several community partners, TN will be joining to memorialize those who have been murdered as a result of transphobia and to draw attention to the continued violence endured by the TGNC community.

TN hosted the Say No To Silence panel discussion which not only provides trans masculine voices with a platform but gives members from the LGBTQ+ community an opportunity to hear those voices, but also further engages in dialogue within community.

In collaboration with community partners, TN hosted a community resource fair focusing on obtaining access to immigration, education and employment resources.

TN is hosting workshops focusing on self care topics including aromatherapy, sexual wellness and skin care.

TN is hosting an afternoon of food, fun, and games at the East River State Park.

TN is culminating our first cycle of the Bridge program with a bilingual town hall at our satellite location in Queens.

In collaboration with TLDEF, TN hosted a workshop focusing on LGBTQ+ rights within the workplace.

TN celebrated the graduates of our Cycle VII TGNC Leadership Space program with free food, a community ceremony, and a platform for our graduates to speak about their experiences and where they’re headed next.


In collaboration with Immigration Equality, TN hosted a workshop regarding the recent changes to several immigration pathways, essential Know Your Rights information regarding ICE, and how to navigate immigration options.

In collaboration with the NYCCHR, TN hosted a panel discussion about human rights in NYC as they pertain to the daily experiences of trans people. Community members had the opportunity to interface with city officials and ask specific questions about their rights as NYC residents.


In partnership with Betances Health Center, TN hosted a free Spanish-language workshop and event at our satellite space in Jackson Heights, highlighting how to access PrEP, combined with a giveaway for community members with clothing and toiletries.

In collaboration with several community partners, TN hosted a full free day of self care workshops targeted to relieving stress and promoting wellness in the community.

As part of our TGNC Health series, TN hosted a free bilingual voice therapy workshop for community members to learn techniques that help to achieve the pitch and tone of voice that is affirming to their gender identities and expression.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, TN hosted a free bilingual movie night, where clients received popcorn and other festive movie snacks.

In collaboration with the LGBTQ Outreach Unit of the NYPD, TN offered part two of our safety workshop, where clients were able to interface directly with non-patrol officers, ask questions, and give candid feedback in Spanish, as well as receive training on how to use naloxone kits to reverse opioid and painkiller overdoses.

In celebration of our TGNC Leadership Space graduates and the holiday season, TN hosted a party for clients featuring a holiday meal and community support during a time that can be challenging for those without family connections and support.

In collaboration with the LGBTQ Outreach Unit of the NYPD, TN offered this safety workshop, where clients were able to interface directly with non-patrol officers, ask questions, and give candid feedback.

In collaboration with the NYC Commission on Human Rights, TN hosted this presentation and workshop on TGNC Workplace & Housing Rights, where TN clients were able to ask specific questions about their own situations to an expert.

In partnership with FLUX, TN celebrated individuals who uplift the TGNC community at our annual CRIS (Community Recognition In Spirit) Awards, with special attention to TGNC veterans.

In partnership with AmidaCare, TN hosted a Halloween celebration for our clients, featuring community performances and giveaways, as well as the opportunity to receive information about accessing insurance and a giftbag from AmidaCare.

In partnership with Walgreens, TN hosted a flu clinic where clients could receive free flu shots regardless of insurance coverage.

In collaboration with Urban Justice Center’s Sex Workers Project, TN hosted this presentation covering basic information regarding LGBTQ immigration processes and rights.

In partnership with the Trans Beauty Clinic, TN hosted a workshop demonstrating makeup techniques to all interested LGBTQIA community members.

In partnership with The Center, TN hosted this community panel on the FOSTA-SESTA bill package passed in April 2018, which was intended to fight online sex trafficking but has resulted in increased raids and arrests on people engaging in consensual and survival sex work. TN also hosted a subsequent panel in Spanish at our Jackson Heights satellite location at Voces Latinas’ space in September 2018.

In collaboration with the City Bar Justice Center, TN was able to host this workshop for clients, where they learned how to recognize and report discriminatory harassment, as well as what avenues are available to them for recourse.
