TN celebrated the graduates of our Cycle VII TGNC Leadership Space program with free food, a community ceremony, and a platform for our graduates to speak about their experiences and where they’re headed next.


In collaboration with Immigration Equality, TN hosted a workshop regarding the recent changes to several immigration pathways, essential Know Your Rights information regarding ICE, and how to navigate immigration options.

In collaboration with the NYCCHR, TN hosted a panel discussion about human rights in NYC as they pertain to the daily experiences of trans people. Community members had the opportunity to interface with city officials and ask specific questions about their rights as NYC residents.


In partnership with Betances Health Center, TN hosted a free Spanish-language workshop and event at our satellite space in Jackson Heights, highlighting how to access PrEP, combined with a giveaway for community members with clothing and toiletries.

In collaboration with several community partners, TN hosted a full free day of self care workshops targeted to relieving stress and promoting wellness in the community.

As part of our TGNC Health series, TN hosted a free bilingual voice therapy workshop for community members to learn techniques that help to achieve the pitch and tone of voice that is affirming to their gender identities and expression.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, TN hosted a free bilingual movie night, where clients received popcorn and other festive movie snacks.

In collaboration with the LGBTQ Outreach Unit of the NYPD, TN offered part two of our safety workshop, where clients were able to interface directly with non-patrol officers, ask questions, and give candid feedback in Spanish, as well as receive training on how to use naloxone kits to reverse opioid and painkiller overdoses.

In celebration of our TGNC Leadership Space graduates and the holiday season, TN hosted a party for clients featuring a holiday meal and community support during a time that can be challenging for those without family connections and support.

In collaboration with the LGBTQ Outreach Unit of the NYPD, TN offered this safety workshop, where clients were able to interface directly with non-patrol officers, ask questions, and give candid feedback.

In collaboration with the NYC Commission on Human Rights, TN hosted this presentation and workshop on TGNC Workplace & Housing Rights, where TN clients were able to ask specific questions about their own situations to an expert.

In partnership with FLUX, TN celebrated individuals who uplift the TGNC community at our annual CRIS (Community Recognition In Spirit) Awards, with special attention to TGNC veterans.

In partnership with AmidaCare, TN hosted a Halloween celebration for our clients, featuring community performances and giveaways, as well as the opportunity to receive information about accessing insurance and a giftbag from AmidaCare.

In partnership with Walgreens, TN hosted a flu clinic where clients could receive free flu shots regardless of insurance coverage.

In collaboration with Urban Justice Center’s Sex Workers Project, TN hosted this presentation covering basic information regarding LGBTQ immigration processes and rights.

In partnership with the Trans Beauty Clinic, TN hosted a workshop demonstrating makeup techniques to all interested LGBTQIA community members.

In partnership with The Center, TN hosted this community panel on the FOSTA-SESTA bill package passed in April 2018, which was intended to fight online sex trafficking but has resulted in increased raids and arrests on people engaging in consensual and survival sex work. TN also hosted a subsequent panel in Spanish at our Jackson Heights satellite location at Voces Latinas’ space in September 2018.

In collaboration with the City Bar Justice Center, TN was able to host this workshop for clients, where they learned how to recognize and report discriminatory harassment, as well as what avenues are available to them for recourse.
