TGNC Leadership Space

The TGNC Leadership Space is a closed training program that focuses on delivering an empowerment curriculum that emphasizes career building for our community members. We task our program members with optimizing their resume, conducting outreach work, training in Rapid HIV Certification, and developing their public speaking skills. We structure all of the challenges to kindle the Leadership Skills within our community. This is an incentivized training program and we are always accepting applications for future cycles. Outreach / Benefits Coordinator – Translatinx Network

Under the supervision of the Associate Director of HIV Prevention, the role of the Outreach/ Benefits Coordinator is to link incoming clients who identify as part of the TGNC and LGBTQIA+ communities supportive services and other community resources. The Outreach/ Benefits Coordinator will oversee all new intakes and referrals to ensure that the client does not fall out of care and completes their service plan. They will also be responsible for outreach staff and dissemination of literature, events, and Prevention materials.

The Outreach/ Benefits Coordinator is expected to serve as a role model who provides reliable information, appropriate referrals, and peer support to individuals who are infected and/or at risk for HIV or AIDS. The Outreach/ Benefits Coordinator will be writing monthly reports for funders, doing data entry and tracking, providing quality assurance for referrals and linkages. A responsibility that the Coordinator will have is making sure that all Translatina Staff members are given the proper training and update the resource list with quality agencies who are culturally competent. The Coordinator will handle all outreach materials, inventory of sexual health materials, and ensure the upkeep of a resource list.

TURNNT Study Bilingual Spanish / English Intern

NYU’s Spatial Epidemiology Lab team is looking for part-time Spanish-speaking interns who identify as Latinx AND transgender or gender diverse to recruit and interview participants for their TURNNT study.

The pay is $20/hr. Interns should expect to work no more than 8-10 hours a week.
